Learning Streak

The number of consecutive periods, such as days or weeks, in which a learner sustains qualifying learning activity.

Learning Streak measures unbroken continuity of engagement, counting the consecutive intervals—often days or weeks—during which a learner completes at least one qualifying learning action. It is typically tracked by incrementing the streak each qualifying interval and resetting it when a gap occurs.

For L&D and HR leaders, streaks are a behavioral indicator of momentum and commitment that can be used to motivate sustained participation. Monitoring streaks helps identify highly consistent learners and informs nudges that encourage continuity.
