Engagement Index
A composite metric summarizing the depth and breadth of learner interaction with learning content and activities.
Engagement Index combines multiple signals of learner interaction—such as logins, content consumed, activity frequency, and participation—into a single normalized measure. It is typically constructed by weighting and aggregating these underlying indicators so that overall engagement can be tracked at a glance.
This metric gives L&D and HR leaders a more holistic view than any single activity measure, helping them compare engagement across groups and over time. It is most useful for spotting disengaged segments and assessing the impact of program changes.
How Engagement Index works in Violetinfo.ai
Violetinfo.ai computes the Engagement Index in VInsights, blending interaction signals into a normalized score that can be segmented by team and period.
